Gulmarg, Oct 25 (KNO): Undeterred by a recent terror incident in the nearby Botapathri area, the tourists flocked to Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, filling the scenic destination with a lively atmosphere on Friday. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Gulmarg is witnessing a bustling atmosphere, with tourists undeterred by the recent attack in the nearby Botapathri area and dismissing the safety concerns, while cable car operations continue to draw visitors. “We have been here for the past three days and are thoroughly enjoying ourselves,” said a tourist. “We read about something happening nearby, but it hasn’t affected our experience here. It’s great to see things running smoothly.” Kanesh Yadav, a visitor from Pune, added, “I am here with my family, and there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. Although the cable car was briefly paused, it resumed operations quickly, and we got to enjoy the Gondola ride.” Officials assured that Gulmarg’s operations are normal, with a presence of security and local authorities, maintaining a safe environment. “The brief halt in the Gondola service was due to a technical snag, unrelated to security concerns, and it resumed shortly afterward,” they said. Pertinently, a terror attack occurred near Nagin area of Botapathri along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district, which claimed the lives of five, including three soldiers and two porters—(KNO)
